SoFA goes Rags to Riches
SoFA goes Rags to Riches
The School of Fashion and the Arts’ (SoFA) young creative fashion students will showcase their talents through an eco-chic exhibit and show that going green is in. On August 3 – 9, 2009, SoFA’s students will showcase their designs at the Eastwood Mall Atrium. Using the same scrap fabrics used by the Payatas communities of Rags2Riches, the students of the School of Fashion and the Arts explore and demonstrate the various possibilities of scrap fabrics and other recycled materials in creating stylish fashion pieces.
The School of Fashion and the Arts (SoFA) is the Philippine's first specialized Fashion College. Offering a range of fashion courses from degree programs to workshops, SoFA’s vision is to provide students with a guided framework for unleashing and nurturing their creativity, gaining the best technical skills coupled with the finest business acumen.
A visionary mind coupled with an environmental consciousness is one way of contributing to the preservation of mother earth. Check out SoFA’s eco-chic exhibit at the Eastwood Mall Atrium from August 3 – 9, 2009.
