Improving investor confidence, robust business process outsourcing sector, strong remittances from overseas-based Filipinos and high public confidence on the Aquino government are expected to propel a buoyant Philippine economy, which this year is estimated to grow by 7.8 percent and fare better next year.

This wave of optimism creates an opportunity for the business sector and information and communications technology (ICT) wares and services providers to come up with solutions to improve operational efficiency in production, inventory, distribution, security and related services.

Gearing up for the looming economic expansion can be eased with the appropriate mix of the right tools and lower costs, which are available at COMDDAP Expo Manila 2010, a complete “procurement platform” for both business and IT services sectors set December 2-5, 2010 at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Grounds, in Pasay City.

“COMDDAP Expo Manila 2010 encourages the convergence of industry colleagues to network, partner, sell, and do their last-quarter sales blitz at discounted rates. It’s the place to go for the best in IT at the lowest costs,” said COMDDAP director and event chairman Juan G. Chua.

It also provides the convenience of a one-stop IT destination for corporate and individual buyers looking for the right fit and price for their unique requirements as exhibitors offer a complete line of hardware and software products and services, according to Chua.

Touted to be the biggest technology event in the country, COMDDAP Expo Manila on its 24th year encourages interaction between customers and sellers to come up with customized IT solutions. “Moreover, we timed it close to Christmas so the consumers can buy IT gifts at good prices”, said Chua.

Last year’s Expo drew over 20,000 visitors with 39 percent of the attendees coming from the business sector and between 17-18 percent seeking new trade partners or establishing business contacts while buying heavily-discounted ICT products.

Consumers have also expected a complete show in the industry’s “longest-running IT event”.  This year’s edition include Microsoft seminars, a talk from a Google executive, digital art competition “Imagen I.T. Pinoy” (deadline of submission on November 19, 2010; visit www.imagen.it), a search for the oldest personal computer (deadline of submission on November 15, 2010) with entries to be displayed during the event and daily auction of various IT products.

COMDDAP is a non-stock and non-profit IT trade association of the country’s top Information Technology organizations that promotes the “sustainable development of the country’s information technology industry”.  Through the voluntary support of its member-companies, COMDDAP has funded IT-related advocacy projects in the past 24 years.
