IBM: Celebrating 100 years, a social responsibility commitment
Sometimes we need to take a break from our busy schedule. Step out of our office and participate in social activities that we rarely do like what IBM did last week on their Centennial Celebration of Service supporting the second phase of the "Save the La Mesa Watershed Project," which aimed to protect and rehabilitate the La Mesa Watershed also to promote awareness among individuals.
Transforming into a better society, IBM's goal to provide quality service to all service partners but also to work with a higher purpose. Keeping the business alive in 100 years has allowed IBM to transform everything into a simplified and high end technology achieving its objective to make the world even better in our second century (quoted from James Velasquez, Country General Manager, IMB Philippines).
It was a fun day celebration for IBMers and We're glad to be part of its one of a kind experience to value social responsibility and environmental awareness.Last Saturday's activities includes tree planting (as they said it's seedling, we do not actually plant trees) and an amazing race wherein group of IBMers will compete and win the race. There were also booths selling food and drinks; photo booths; free spa massage (yes!), jail booth, kiss me booth, inflatable giant dinosaur and mini cinema for the kids. Others took home great prizes upon answering the trivia question.
