Young television stars Yen Santos and Albie Casiño and the late Apple founder Steve Jobs are on the top of the latest list of top trending Yahoo! Search topics in the Philippines.

1. Yen Santos: Former Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition housemate Yen Santos is in the cast of ABS-CBN’s new youth-oriented show “Growing Up.” The series tells the story of a group of friends who are members of a volleyball team that will face the challenges of growing up as they raise money for their favorite teacher who has a serious illness. Yen previously appeared in “Shout Out,” “Mutya,” and “Good Vibes.” She is being touted as the next Cristine Reyes, and said that she is open to doing sexy roles in the future.

2. Albie Casiño:  Back on the trending list is young actor Albie Casiño, who was previously named by his ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann as the father of her child. Albie has remained silent on the controversy. After being dropped in the cast of the movie “Way Back Home,” Albie will finally be introduced as a film actor in the remake of Peque Gallaga’s “Aswang.”

3. Steve Jobs: Apple Inc. founder Steve Jobs passed away on October 5 at the age of 56 after a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer. Fans all over the world mourned his death, which occurred just days after the announcement of the latest update to his creation, the iPhone. Filipino netizens also searched for the details of the new iPhone 4S, as well as the well-anticipated iPhone 5.

4. Megan Fox: American actress Megan Fox recently said her right forearm’s Marilyn Monroe tattoo, which she’s been trying to remove, is almost gone. Megan was also in the news the past few weeks after she showed off her new, curvier figure which she developed after stopping her vegan diet. She appears in the movie “Friends with Kids,” which premiered last month at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada.

5. Tau Gamma Phi:  Triskelions' Grand Fraternity or the Tau Gamma Phi celebrated its 43rd anniversary last week. Established at the University of the Philippines, the fraternity has spread to many campuses in the country. Its website says it has at least 700,000 members. Last month, a criminology student in Sultan Kudarat reportedly died after undergoing a Tau Gamma Phi-Triskelion fraternity initiation.

6. Atasha Muhlach: The nine-year-old daughter of Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales and twin sister of Andres, Atasha Muhlach, will play the role of Brigitta von Trapp in the local production of “The Sound of Music.” The play will run from October 15 to December 11 at the Resorts World Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.

7. Sara Leal: Hollywood rumors say a San Diego blond named Sara Leal spent the night with actor Ashton Kutcher while his wife Demi Moore was in New York promoting her movie “Five” during their sixth wedding anniversary. The couple has not addressed the rumors, but they were seen attending worship services together at the Jewish Kabbalah Centre in Los Angeles this weekend.

8. Ynna Assistio: Kapuso actress Ynna Asistio, a 20-year-old daughter of Nadia Montenegro and former Caloocan City Mayor, Macario "Boy" Asistio Jr., trended on Yahoo! Search after her mother sued Annabelle Rama for child abuse and defamation. Annabelle is the manager of Ynna’s sisters Anykka and Alyanna. Nadia claims her daughters’ manager made them work for more than 40 hours a week.  Annabelle denied the allegations.

9. The Kitchen Musical: Pan Asian musical drama television series, “The Kitchen Musical,” which stars Karylle and Christian Bautista, among others, premiered in the Philippines last Sunday in ABS-CBN. The series was shot in Singapore and will air on free TV in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and on AXN in 16 other countries.

10. The Biggest Loser - Pinoy Edition: Reality show “The Biggest Loser - Pinoy Edition,” is also back on the trending list as it held its finale last Saturday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City. Former policeman Larry Martin was named the first-ever Pinoy Biggest Loser after losing 101 pounds in his four months in the contest.
