Renewing your domain as easy as 1-2-3
Good news! I have already renew my domain and hosting so my website will keep running for another year!
Actually, I was planning to terminate my blog because I'm no longer active in blogging but I decided to keep my domain and will try to update it from time to time. The contents will be more 'personal' so it will focus on my activities, opinions and anything that sounds interesting.
If you are new to blogging, you still have time to think for a domain name so that visitors will remember your site and they will find you easily. Usually, the domain name/s contain their names or anything sounds unique to identify you.
When you sign up for domain and hosting, an email will be assigned to you (that's optional if you're going to use that) but I'm too lazy to 'integrate' my email so I use Google docs / forms so that it will automatically send to my GMAIL account.
To learn more on how you can acquire for a domain name, you may check WHOIS and type anything/names that comes to your mind. Some domains may available for a certain period of time so you better grab them before it's too late. Like mine, I failed to register the 'dot.com' and I landed to 'dot.net.' The owner of dot.com emailed me and told me that He is selling the dot.com but it's too expensive. Maybe in the near future, if it's available...I'll buy it, hahaha.
Also, if you bought several domain names (same name with different extensions), make sure NOT to post the same contents. You may park them or create a separate page or make a short announcement that this site is under construction. NEVER copy the entire contents to different extensions whether it's .com, .net, .org or else Google will hunt you down for duplicate content and penalize you.
Anyways, make sure to check the expiration date of your domain and hosting. You may contact your provider for additional information so that they can manage it ahead of time or else you'll be back to zero.
If your domain got expired, contact your provider immediately so that they can make necessary actions. Or if you wish to transfer it to another hosting company, make sure everything has been transfer completely to avoid major headaches in running your site.
Happy Blogging 2014!
