My overnight stay at the LinQ hotel in Las Vegas

Yes, I went to Las Vegas for the 3rd time. And it feels like I found another home to spend vacation. My recent trip to the LV was to attend a baby dedication (baptism of my college friend's daughter). I stayed 4 days/3 nights, spent the first two days at my friend's house and the last two days at the LinQ hotel.

I've been reading about "High Roller" and seen it last December, wondering where was this place I kept on researching and found out that this is one of the world's tallest observation wheel (ferris wheel, yeah just like the Eye in London and Singapore flyer).

Luckily, I stumbled upon a hotel promo for only $30/per night. Please take note resort fee will be added as soon as you either purchase in advance or booked online and it will be deducted upon checking in. I think the resort fee I paid was less than $28 so in total, it was less than $100! - it's summertime so this deal is somehow cheap. You can still find less than $50 rooms at different places in Las Vegas but mostly off the strip or at old downtown.

LIKES:
Checking in and out via online is available. The hotel is very busy accommodating the guests, you have an option to check in and out online. Simply check your checking in / out email, click the button and enter some relevant information - boom, you're check in. You may get your room key/s at the Express desk. If you arrive early, you may leave your luggage at the Bell desk and as soon as your room is ready, you may call them to deliver your luggage.

Same with checking out, just hit the 'checking out' button and return the key at the front desk or leave your key/s inside the room. I also saw a key drop box, you may also leave your keys there.

The Room - the hotel is newly remodeled to LinQ (formerly Imperial Palace), all stuff inside are NEW. The standard room I booked was a very simple and modern. There were extra pillows and I like the ambiance, it's like you're renting a unit. With 47 inch LED TV and plugs everywhere - I'm so loving it! What I like is the desk area, which has a USB port (applause!).

Bathroom is clean and simple. I was attracted to the shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser. It's very convenient and environment friendly. Full-sized hair dryer (check), but some amenities were missing like lotion, cotton buds, shower cap, toothpaste...hay. Towels? there are extra towels, you don't need to call housekeeping
ATTRACTIONS, DINING, CASINO AND SHOPPING
For adventure seekers, try the High Roller (no thank you, i am afraid of heights).
For dining, you may choose from grabbing drinks in the bar or try Chayo, Brooklyn Bowl, FAME, Titled Kilt, Yardhouse, Ghirardelli, and many more. I ate my dinner at Flour and Barley (Italian).

For shopping, enjoy the convenience of buying souvenirs inside the hotel and other stuff or accessories outside (LinQ Promenade).
Polaroid Fotobar is also an additional attraction. Turn your digital photos into a polaroid prints. I'll blog this place in separate. I forgot to check out the museum upstairs.

Casino - I'm not into gambling. So i played and lost my $50 in slot machine, hehe. But I enjoyed staying at O'Sheas, the band played that night was fantastic!

UNLIKE:
Internet!!!! The hotel has wi-fi, but unfortunately I couldn't connect or the internet is very slow. I couldn't update my Facebook but I can check emails.

Phone Signal!!! I got a very poor signal inside my room. So if you're calling me or sent any SMS pretty sure I didn't receive it.

Overall, I like my stay at the LinQ. Short stay but sweet. Plus, I saw additional attractions. Maybe next time, I may choose to stay here but I love finding new attraction. So, definitely I can recommend this place. Make sure to check out different Las Vegas hotel promos, and you'll save a lot of money!
SIDETRIPS:

For Hello Kitty fanatics like me, finding a Sanrio store is a must. so I went to Sanrio store (outside the hotel, few miles away) which was located at the Fashion Show Mall.

For Filipinos abroad who are craving for pinoy food-- our first stop is always going to Jollibee! Always include Seafood City to your itinerary. We don't have Jollibee in Chicago (yet, soon to open in 2016 daw!). Red Ribbon and Chowking is also an option. Syempre, I will choose Jollibee :) LOL

That's all for now. Stay tuned for my next adventure :)
